At 20.50 pm on June 30, Bulgaria’s Naval Forces defused a sea mine near the estuary of Kamchia River. The mine was sighted some 27 nautical miles east of the mouth of Kamchia River by the Liberian-flagged vessel Monterey.

A naval helicopter and a minesweeper were deployed at 3.30pm.
Bulgarian navy vessels and Border Police cutters identified the mine as an anchored Yam-type. A team of divers destroyed the mine with a controlled explosion.
