Bulgarian children and their Ukrainian peers created a “Peace Ship” in the Marine Casino in Burgas, where the initiative “Let’s Make a Peace Ship” was held. It is part of the Fourth Summer Academy for Children and Students organized by the National Academy of Arts- Burgas Branch. The children had different ideas regarding the route of their peace ship. They also showed how they imagined peace- from a world free of war planes and military, to a world full of warm colors, lifebelts, pools and slides.
“We decided to invite our little guests, a group of Ukrainian children, and surprise them, the event’s main organizer Maria Lindova said for the BNR-Burgas. The participants saw the traditional ship model exhibition in Burgas. They learned in detail the ship stricture of each model and then made their project for their “Peace Ship”.
The Summer Academy for Children and Students continues until July 22. Children and adolescents aged between 6 and 18 can join the academy.
