On his return from Montenegro at Sofia airport, President Rumen Radev expressed concern that if the parliament is dissolved before the end of July, many important issues for the country will remain unresolved.

Within days, the head of state promised to hand over an exploratory mandate to the second largest parliamentary group - GERB-UDF.

Should the second mandate be returned, as the opposition has pledged, Radev will hold consultations to decide to which party will be handed the third mandate to form a government.

"If the parties' choice is early elections again, I consider it appropriate to hold the elections in early October," the head of state said.
