Russia, Ukraine and Turkey negotiating export of Ukrainian grain

On July 13, in Istanbul, military delegations of Russia, Ukraine and representatives of the UN discuss opening transport corridors for grain exports from Ukrainian ports, Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar reported.

Previously, the EU and Moscow agreed on the passage of transit cargo to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, Izvestia reported, citing high-ranking Russian sources.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced that Kyiv would receive additional financial assistance of 1.7 billion dollars to cover the Ukrainian budget deficit. The Council of the EU also grants Ukraine additional financial assistance of 1 billion euros.

The outgoing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev has proposed to the Council on "Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the EU to consider the introduction of a tariff on Russian deliveries of gas and oil. During the debates on the economic and financial consequences of the war in Ukraine, Vassilev also said that in order to guarantee food security in the world, it was necessary to reduce the restrictions in the EU on the export of food, BNR correspondent in Brussels Angelina Piskova reports.
