Number of new Covid cases in Bulgaria is more than twice that of recoveries

There were 1,139 new Covid cases registered in Bulgaria in the past day. The new cases are 169 less in comparison to a day earlier. 63.4% of the newly infected were non-vaccinated citizens. 18.4% of 6,210 tests were positive, compared to 17.8% on Tuesday, the coronavirus.bg portal shows.

Number of registered patients increased by 723 to 9,814. Hospital admissions reached 79 as 60 or 76% of the patients were not vaccinated. The number of hospitalized people rose to 460. There are 40 patients in intensive care.

Two Covid-related deaths were registered during the day as both persons were non-vaccinated. The number of recoveries reached 414. A total of 3,266 vaccines were administered on Tuesday.
