24.8% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

552 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 2,223 tests performed, 561 down on the previous day. More than 65% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 24.8% of the tests returned positive result, indicate data of coronavirus.bg portal.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection increased with 497 to 11,293. 38 people have been admitted to hospitals in the past day. 26 of them, or 68.4%, were not immunized. 581 patients are being treated in hospital, as 33 of them are in intensive care units.

Two Covid- related deaths have been reported in the past day. 53 people have been reported cured. A mere 179 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday. 2,063,091 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle.
