Number of new Covid cases in Bulgaria rises rapidly

The number of new Covid infections in Bulgaria in the past day reached 2,292. The cases increased by 1,875 compared to a day earlier. 63.4% of the newly infected were non-vaccinated citizens. 25% of 9,234 tests were positive as the percentage remains the same for a third day in a row, according to the coronavirus.bg portal.

The number of patients rose by 740 to 12,862 and 247 people were admitted to hospitals. 177 of them or 71.7% were not vaccinated. The number of hospitalized rose by 143 to 740. There are 37 patients in intensive care.

Seven Covid-related deaths were registered in the past day. 1,545 people recovered. On Monday, a total of 2,860 vaccines were administered.
