Bulgarian Socialist Party has held consultations with "There is Such a People" party

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) held consultations with "There is Such a People" (ITN) party within the third exploratory government-fomring mandate. The two parties agreed to work on the governance programme developed by the BSP, "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria". ITN has also proposed some supplements tot he programme. According to "There is Such a People", elections are not necessary at present. 

"There are no fundamental differences between us. ITN offered acceptable proposals", the leader of BSP Kornelia Ninova said after the meeting. She stressed that a readiness for an anti-corruption majority is taking shape and added: "At the second stage of the negotiations we will discuss the structure and composition of the Council of Ministers. Today we are more encouraged than yesterday, because ITN has also approved the governance programme".

Asked whether "There is Such a People" remains against a potential nomination of Assen Vassilev for Prime Minister designate, the party replied that a decision would be made after the official nomination.

Tomorrow, the Bulgarian Socialist Party will hold talks with "Democratic Bulgaria".
