On the eve of the the traditional annual meeting on Mount Buzludzha, in the locality "Historical Meadow" below the summit, BSP leader Kornelia Ninova said that “Buzludzha 2022” is the beginning of the election campaign of the Socialists. She arrived for a press conference and a "flashmob" of the Socialist Youth Organization of Stara Zagora and praised the deputies for their quick reaction reaction in approving the ban on the sale of nitrous oxide, known as laughing gas, in discos in a comment on the last plenary session of the 47th Parliament.

For his part, the chairman of the Party of European Socialists Sergei Stanishev said in Stara Zagora that the BSP had been a loyal partner to We Continue the Change, but We Continue the Change had not been fair to the Socialists. According to him there is a real risk that the BSP will lose in the next early parliamentary elections in case of a serious collision between We Continue the Change and GERB.
