1566 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 1,566 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in the last 24 hours, a positivity rate of 23.7% out of the 6596 tests conducted, the Single Information Portal reports. 

66% of the newly infected were not vaccinated. The highest number of new cases was in Sofia - 300, in Burgas - 133, and in Varna - 116.
 
There are 1,073 inpatients - 48 of them are in intensive care. 73% of the 172 new admissions have not been vaccinated. Five have passed away - 40% of them were not inoculated, while 1,432 have recovered. 

The number of active cases is 26,448. Yesterday, 2,760 doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered. There are 2,065,664 people with completed immunisation. 46,586 have also had a booster dose.
