Ministry of the Interior to fight against vote buying, domestic crime and to ensure road safety

The main priority in the work of the caretaker Minister of Interior, Ivan Demerdzhiev, will be to continue the fight against vote buying. Road safety will also be a focus of the ministry's work. "The situation is quite serious and calls for quick and lasting measures," Demerdzhiev added. For this purpose, a road safety specialist has been recruited into the team of the Ministry of Interior. There will be actions to confiscate illegally acquired weapons as well as ones against the distribution of drugs, starting from areas near schools.
