Ten coronavirus-related deaths and 1,024 new cases reported in Bulgaria

A total of 1,024 coronavirus cases were registered in Bulgaria in the past day after 5,030 tests, according to official data. 20.5% of the samples tested positive. 69% of the newly infected are non-vaccinated citizens. Most of the new cases are in Sofia – 122, followed by Plovdiv – 98, Varna -71 and Stara Zagora -71.

There are 1,053 patients in hospitals, as 57 of them are in intensive care. 77% of the newly-hospitalized 155 patients had not been vaccinated. Ten people died and 2,540 recovered. The number of active cases is 18,945. Yesterday, 2,474 doses of coronavirus vaccines were administered in Bulgaria. There are 2,066,811 people with completed immunization. 53,309 have also had a second booster dose.
