There are no stranded ships in Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube

Hundreds of vessels are currently waiting in the Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube River and the forecasts for the river level are not optimistic at all. Due to the lack of sufficient water in the Rhine, the Main and the Danube, the situation remains difficult and ship owners throughout Europe suffer losses, Captain Ivan Zhekov, head of the River Supervision Directorate, said in an interview with BNR.

Despite the low water level, there are currently no stranded ships in the Bulgarian-Romanian section. Lighter vessels continue to sail on the Danube, while the rest wait in ports.
