Bulgaria reports 1,189 new Covid-19 cases, a positivity rate of over 19%

New Covid-19 quarantine rules are in place as of today

1,189 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 6,103 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 19.48 %, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

1,024 patients are being treated in hospital, 53 of them in intensive care. The number of new hospital admissions in the past day is 157.

Three patients with established Covid-19 have died in the past 24 hours, 2,147 are reported as recovered.

The highest number of new infections is in Sofia – 210, followed by Plovdiv - 83 and Burgas – 79.

2,320 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day.2,067,397 is the number of people in the country with a completed vaccination cycle, 853,401 of them have taken a booster shot and 56,166 – a second booster shot.

New Covid-19 quarantine rules are in place as of today – the quarantine period for people infected with coronavirus is down from 10 to 7 days, and for contacts of such persons from 7 to 5 days. Persons with a completed vaccination cycle and persons who have recovered from Covid-19 in the past three months are not subject to quarantine.
