Smaller percentage of new Covid-19 infections but ten coronavirus-related deaths

A total of 1,087 new coronavirus cases were registered in Bulgaria in the past day after 6,205 tests, data of the Unified Information Portal show. 17.5% of the tests returned positive result. 67% of the newly infected are non-vaccinated citizens. Most of the new cases are in Sofia – 173, followed by Plovdiv - 104, and Burgas - 79.

There are 1,017 patients in hospital as 49 of them are in intensive care. The number of new hospital admissions reached 130. Ten people died as 90% of them were not immunized, while the number of recoveries reached 2,751. The number of active cases reached 16,635.

Yesterday, 2,453 doses of vaccine were administered in Bulgaria. There are 2,067,621 people with completed immunization. 57,429 have already had a second booster dose.
