Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov will play in the second round of the ATP 250 hard court tennis tournament in Winston-Salem (USA) with a prize fund of 731,935 dollars.

Dimitrov received a "wild card" from the hosts and will be placed at number 1 in the scheme in place of the withdrawn Pablo Carreño-Busta from Spain.

Bulgaria's best tennis player will compete next week with the winner of the match between Dominic Thiem (Austria) and J J Wolf (USA).

For the first time since the tournament in Dubai in 2018, the Bulgarian is seeded 1 and is guaranteed 10 points for the world ranking and 6,420 dollars.
