Bulgaria reports 290 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

290 is the number of new coronavirus cases out of 1,651 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 17%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 71% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. The highest number of new infections is in Sofia - 85, in Burgas – 31, and in Varna – 30

990 patients are being treated in hospital, 49 of them in intensive care. 90% of the 30 patients admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours are not vaccinated.

Three patients have died in the past day, two of them, or 67%, were not vaccinated. The number of active Covid-19 in the country is 16,297.

65 doses of vaccine against Covid-19 have been administered in the past day. 2,067,830 people in the country are fully vaccinated, 58,249 have taken a second booster shot.
