Balkan Spirit - 2022 military training starts in Bulgaria

Bulgarian, Romanian and Greek special forces gather for joint exercises in Plovdiv and Pazardzhik

As of today until 2 September the trilateral traditional joint military training "Balkan Spirit - 2022" will take place on the territory of the regions of Plovdiv and Pazardzhik, South-central Bulgaria, the Ministry of Defence said.


It involves special forces from Bulgaria, Romania and Greece. Tasks will be performed jointly with the Bulgarian Air Force.


The objective of this training, which has been conducted over the last three years, is to enhance interoperability and cooperation in the execution of joint special operations, as well as improve the formations' capabilities to operate in a real environment.
