Bulgaria reports 903 new Covid-19 cases, 8 Covid-related deaths in past day

903 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, out of 5,771 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data indicate. 16% of the tests have returned positive result. 68% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated.

The highest number of new Covid-19 cases were reported in Sofia-184, followed by Plovdiv-77 and Burgas-72. 

919 patients are being treated in hospitals, as 52 of them are in intensive care units. 137 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 77% of them were not immunized. 8 people with an established coronavirus infection have died and 962 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours. 

There are 12,673 active cases of coronavirus infection. 1,998 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday. 2,068,608 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle. 61,577 have had a second booster shot.
