President Radev: Bulgaria's accession to Schengen will contribute to the consolidation of security in the EU

The accession of Bulgaria, as well as the other two candidate countries Croatia and Romania, will make an important contribution to the consolidation of security in the European Union. This is stated by President Rumen Radev in a letter to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in which the Bulgarian head of state expresses his gratitude for Germany's support for Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen area. 

The German chancellor confirmed that Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania meet all the technical requirements and expressed his readiness to work for Bulgaria's full membership in Schengen.
