Bulgaria to open 165 polling stations in Turkey, 120 in Great Britain and 77 in Germany

Bulgaria is still waiting to obtain the consent of Germany, Canada, Italy and Austria to hold the parliamentary elections on their territory, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Central Election Commission is expected to approve the opening of more than 740 polling stations in 62 countries, on all continents. Bulgaria is expected to open 415 polling stations in Europe. 70 polling stations will be opened in America. 165 polling stations will be opened in Turkey, followed by Great Britain – 120 and Germany - 77. 

Ivan Kondov, Permanent Secretary of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reminded that after the abolition of the law on emergency measures against the coronavirus pandemic, voters will not be able to cast their ballot with expired identity documents.
