The idea of lowering minimum temperatures in classrooms is not on the table, caretaker Health Minister Assen Medzhidiev said on the eve of the new school year, as he and Education Minister Sasho Penov presented a pilot project for telemedicine at a school in Sofia.

Regarding the concerns of school principals whether they will be able to cover their heating costs during the autumn-winter season, the minister said the situation will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. He assured that his ministry would look for solutions so that the school process would not have to be interrupted due to the cold temperatures.
