Minister of Defence Dimitar Stoyanov: The so-called soft power is also a weapon

“Bulgaria cannot supply Ukraine with heavy weapons, because the Bulgarian army does not have any in excess", caretaker Minister of Defence Dimitar Stoyanov said for the BNR.

"Gas is not the only weapon, the so-called soft power is also a weapon. The economic sanctions and diplomatic approaches are soft power. We are seeing the response - many countries have been cut off from gas supplies. As a result, social tension arises. Perhaps that is Russia's aim - to cause social tension in the EU countries and to demand that sanctions be lifted. Russian aggression is a reality. I do not know why someone is trying to label us as a pro-Russian government. I do not see any reason for this. We implement the sanctions against Russia and stand in solidarity with our NATO allies", Minister Stoyanov said.
