"We all need to acquire new armament and equipment. We should cooperate and acquire capacity jointly to avoid unnecessary competition among us", Bulgaria’s Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov said at the annual NATO Military Committee Conference in Tallinn.

Admiral Emil Eftimov called for building a mechanism for coordination and maintaining a connection with the defense industry. “Our defense enterprises need long-term planning, forecasting and cooperation, in order to meet growing demand", said Admiral Eftimov.

"The war in Ukraine shows needs in critical areas, which should be satisfied in the short term," Admiral Eftimov further said.
