96 houses in the flood-affected villages of Karlovo region - Bogdan, Karavelovo and Slatina, will be inspected to determine whether they can be repaired or should be demolished. If the experts decide that a house cannot be repaired, the municipality will assist in arranging the paperwork and demolition of the building. Owners whose houses are habitable will be provided with the basic building materials to carry out the repairs.

The Social Assistance Agency has started to pay a one-off grant of €191 to the affected persons.

Work is in progress to restore the water supply in some of the flooded villages. The water in the municipality of Karlovo is still not safe for drinking and cooking after the disaster.
