Political analyst and sociologist Assoc. Prof. Antony Galabov passed away suddenly

Political analyst and sociologist Assoc. Prof. Antony Galabov died suddenly on 21 September.

He was born in Sofia in 1964 and graduated sociology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 1989. Assoc. Prof. Galabov was an active figure in public life, regularly analyzing events in the country for the media.

He lectured at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and at New Bulgarian University, and has worked for the Research Youth Institute and the Institute of Sociology. He is the author of several monographs. After 1998, he was an expert with Transparency International. Antony Galabov was head of the working group on Roma issues with the Council of Ministers from 1997 until 2001. He is founder of the Bulgarian Individual Freedom Society.
