The newest Bulgarian movies to be shown at the Golden Rose Bulgarian Feature Film Festival in Varna

The 40th Golden Rose Bulgarian Feature Film Festival is on in Varna until 29 September. The festival programme features 14 feature and 5 short films by Bulgarian artists, as well as co-productions with the participation of Bulgaria.

The Open Horizons programme includes the latest Bulgarian movie releases. On the sidelines of the festival there will be book presentations: Manly times messenger: remembering Grigor Vachkov, The importance of being loved, a book about late actor Stefan Danailov, and a collection of short stories Rodents by Valeri Yordanov. There will also be round tables dedicated to Bulgaria’s female film directors, to digital challenges and to attracting new audiences.

The festival opens on Friday with the screening of How I learned to fly, a Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Slovakia coproduction.
