No Covid-related deaths registered in past day

162 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 1,477 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 11%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 55% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active coronavirus cases in the country has gone up by 139 in the past day to 9,045. Five patients have been admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours, three of whom are not vaccinated. The number of patients being treated in hospital is down by 3 to 539, of them 27 in intensive care.

No Covid-related deaths have beenregistered in the past day, the number of recoveries reported is 23.

A mere 56 doses of vaccine have been administered on Independence Day, which is a holiday.
