Next month, the price of natural gas could go down by almost 32%. During the public discussion of the prices by this country's energy watchdog, Bulgargaz CEO Denitsa Zlateva pointed out that the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector is expected to start functioning as of 1 October and when it does, the country will receive the total volume of Azeri gas. According to Denitsa Zlateva, there is a great deal of interest in the four calls for tender announced for the delivery of LNG, for short-term agreements, as well as for a 10-year period, by companies from US, Europe, the Middle East and China. Denitsa Zlateva expressed the hope that during these open procedures a good price will be agreed for November. The final application for price approval will be submitted by Bulgargaz on 1 October.
