Next month, the price of natural gas could go down by almost 32%. During the public discussion of the prices by this country's energy watchdog, Bulgargaz CEO Denitsa Zlateva pointed out that the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector is expected to start functioning as of 1 October and when it does, the country will receive the total volume of Azeri gas. On the other hand, the current rise in prices on international exchanges will affect the price for November. According to Denitsa Zlateva, there is a great deal of interest in the four calls for tender announced for the delivery of LNG, for short-term agreements, as well as for a 10-year period, by companies from US, Europe, the Middle East and China. Denitsa Zlateva expressed the hope that during these open procedures a good price will be agreed for November. The final application for price approval will be submitted by Bulgargaz on 1 October.
