Several days ago, the town of Radomir hosted the traditional Boza Festival. The small Bulgarian town, located some 50 kilometers away from Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, is famous mainly for its masterfully prepared drink, which is popular in almost all Balkan countries.
The local ethnographic museum presented the making of boza under a traditional, century-old recipe. The local residents offered their specialties and handicrafts on the town square. Amateur folklore groups from Radomir and the nearby villages performed folk dances. The residents and guests of Radomir did not miss the opportunity to dance the traditional Horo chain dance.
