Fuels account for three quarters of Bulgaria's exports to Ukraine

The National Statistical Institute's data on Bulgaria's exports as of August show that Ukraine has climbed from eighth to third place among Bulgaria's non-EU trading partners, displacing the US, the Capital weekly reports.
On a year-on-year basis, exports to Ukraine grew by more than 130% and reached €610 million. The rise is mainly due to fuel exports, in particular gas oil. For the first eight months, gas oil exports increased from €770 thousand in 2021 to €358 million this year. The growth is due to both higher volumes and higher prices. Various fuels accounted for almost three-quarters of exports to Ukraine in the first eight months of 2022.
