A gas agreement between Bulgaria and Moldova was signed in Chisinau in the presence of the presidents of both countries, Rumen Radev and Maia Sandu, BNR reporter Tsvetelina Stoyanova informed.
President Radev is visiting the Moldovan capital city for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Parties to the agreement, which will ensure supplies of gas through the transmission network of Bulgaria to Moldova, are "Bulgartransgaz" and "Energocom". "With this, we will be able to diversify our sources of natural gas and we will be able to connect the national gas network to other systems," Sandu said.
The President of Moldova also pointed out that the two countries had been linked for centuries through history and culture. She also recalled that for about 200 years, Moldova has been the homeland of a large Bulgarian diaspora.
