A lasting trend towards land consolidation in Bulgaria

According to the 2020 census, there are 132 742 agricultural holdings in Bulgaria with 4 564 152 hectares of arable land and 1 026 174 livestock units. Since 2010, the average cultivated area per holding has more than tripled and the average size of livestock units has increased more than 3.5 times.
