The decision to extend the state budget for 2022 also into 2023 is bad because a number of activities remain underfunded. This was stated by the president of Podkrepa Trade Union, Dimitar Manolov, at the opening of the International Trade Union Conference in Sofia, dedicated to the Western Balkans.

Manolov said a minimum wage increase demanded by unions could not be funded without a budget update and warned that protests would follow.

The two-day conference on the theme "Trade unions from the Western Balkans: active participants with clear civil and social commitments for accelerated European integration", has participants from trade unions from France, Austria, Poland, North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia.
