MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk receives the Flame of Freedom Award

Ilhan Kyuchyuk, President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) was awarded today with the Flame of Freedom Award. Cristian David from the Institute for Freedom and Democracy (Romania)  conferred the award to Ilhan Kyuchyuk in Bucharest. 

This is yet another recognition for the Bulgarian politician. In September 2022, he was awarded the honorary title Doctor Honoris Causa by the American University in Europe-FON. He also received a citation from the Ukrainian Government for his contribution to upholding the principles of international lawBefore the award ceremony, Ilhan Kyuchyuk participated at the Black Sea for Europe conference. He called on Bulgaria and Romania to start developing joint energy projects in the Black Sea to diversify energy sources.
