Bulgaria has not repaired any Ukrainian weaponry despite the agreement signed by the two governments in May, the Ukrainian ambassador in Sofia Vitaly Moskalenko told BNT.

The idea was to repair T-72 tanks of North Macedonia, which Skopje was to hand over to Ukraine. Due to the higher prices and slow delivery times of 2 tanks per month, Kyiv has given up on the opportunity. On the occasion of the decision voted by the Bulgarian Parliament to provide military aid and armaments to Ukraine, Vitaly Moskalenko said that back in February Ukraine asked Sofia for 30 types of military products that they would like to receive.

The United States has informally asked the authorities in Kyiv to show that they are open to negotiations with Moscow and to abandon their public refusal to engage in peace talks until President Vladimir Putin is removed from power, the "Washington Post" writes. The US administration's request is not aimed at pushing Ukraine to the negotiating table, but is a calculated effort to ensure that Kyiv retains the support of other countries where voters worry that the war would continue for years, the article reads.
