A Panorama of Brazilian Classical Music will be held from November 7 to December 5 at the "Prof. ‎Pancho Vladigerov'' National Music Academy  in Sofia. This is the third edition of the festival, which this time is dedicated to the history of Brazil, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the country's independence.
The forum features five concerts - every Monday, within five weeks. Young performers, students at the National Academy of Music and Performing Arts, are taking part, and they will present works by 35 Brazilian composers who worked in different eras. ‎

Harry Crowl - Brazilian composer and professor of the history of Brazilian music - will give a lecture (with translation into Bulgarian) before each concert. The first of them is on the theme "The construction of musical taste: the establishment of the Portuguese court in Brazil and the declaration of Brazilian independence" and covers the period between 1808 and 1822. The soloists on this first night of the festival are violinists Victor Trenev and Georgi Raichev, and also the pianists Katerina Radeva and Petar Dyulgerov. ‎
The project is implemented by the "Culture, media, communication" and "Zenon" associations, in partnership with the National Music Academy and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Embassy of Brazil

Entrance is free.‎
