The fire on the Bulgarian-Greek border has been completely extinguished

The fire on Mount Veikata in the immediate vicinity of the Bulgarian border with Greece in the municipality of Kirkovo has been extinguished. The last duty of firefighters and forest officials ended on Saturday, after all the local fires were extinguished the previous day. 

The fight against the fiery element lasted two weeks. Initially, the fire occurred on the territory of Greece, but it later spread to Bulgaria. 
In the hard-to-reach area in the Eastern Rhodopes, firefighters, forest officials, military personnel, hunters and volunteers took part in extinguishing the fire.
