Veliko Tarnovo is one of the towns chosen to pilot the European Union’s "Green Cities for a Sustainable Europe" project in Bulgaria. The project aims to encourage the greening of public spaces by providing innovative ideas and scientific information.
After the conclusion of the memorandum, Veliko Tarnovo Mayor Daniel Panov said that the new programming period provides many opportunities for building parks and green areas and the new partnership will help this process.
