Tripartite Council fails to reach agreement on wages and pensions

Photo: BGNES

The partners in the Tripartite Cooperation Council (government, employers, trade unions) were unable to reach agreement on the draft laws providing for an increase in wages and pensions.

Both the government and the employers are against a proposal that the minimum wage should be half the average gross wage.

There is also no agreement on pension increase plans. The draft, proposed by the caretaker government to extend this year's budget framework beyond the New Year, only provides for a 12% increase in all pensions from July.
