Hunting parties in Ruse district (Southeastern Bulgaria) have shot three wild boars infected with African swine fever. "There are positive samples at the beginning of the hunting season which is a concern both for industrial and private pig farms", Dr Nikolay Nenov from the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency-Ruse said for the BNR. A meeting of the Epizootic Commission was held in Ruse district. The commission has ordered that the carcasses of infected animals be buried.
