Police operation codenamed "White" against distribution and production of drugs in Bulgaria

56 people have been detained so far as a result of a specialized police operation under the code name "White", which started at midnight. The operation against the distribution and production of drugs was ordered by the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Petar Todorov, as more than 3,000 police officers participated in it.

"More than 150 addresses were checked, including commercial and private ones,“ he said. Crimes revealed so far are related to possession and distribution of drugs, as well driving under the influence cases.

The operation will continue until the level of drug distribution drops sharply, Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev said. According to him, the police operation is a clear sign to those involved in this type of criminal activity that the state would not tolerate it.
