BSP, "Democratic Bulgaria" will not support the GERB-UDF mandate

Seeking support for the formation of a government with the first mandate, the nominee of GERB-UDF for Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Nikolay Gabrovsky held his first meetings with "Democratic Bulgaria" and the Bulgarian Socialist Party. 

Speaking to the two political formations prof. Nikolay Gabrovski announced that he accepted his nomination with the clear awareness that GERB is the first political force and a new political approach is needed, a more competent and expert one. He outlined his main priorities - transparent anti-corruption legislation; reform of the judiciary; Bulgaria's entry into Schengen and the euro area and adopting the legislation for the Recovery and Resilience Plan. He also announced that he would seek a constitutional majority to create a  a control mechanism over the attorney general. 

After accepting the invitation, BSP snd "Democratic Bulgaria" made it clear that they would not support the first mandate to form a regular government.
Later, Professor Gabrovski met with representatives of "Bulgarian Rise". The leader of "Bulgarian Rise" Stefan Yanev showed strong support for a cabinet with the first cabinet-forming mandate. Nikolay Gabrovski is to coninue the talks with the parliamentary forces tomorrow.
