Alfred Kammer, IMF: It's important for Bulgaria to focus on adopting the euro

"The accession to the eurozone will bring many positives to Bulgaria", said Alfred Kammer, Director of the European Department of the International Monetary Fund.

"I think it's important for Bulgaria to focus on adopting the euro, because that will eliminate many of the risks that concern you", said Alfred Kammer. He was asked whether the process of conversion from BGN to EUR would trigger inflation. "We can see if it has happened when we look at all the countries that have already adopted the euro. No, it hasn't happened. This hasn't given an additional impetus to inflation”, Alfred Kammer said in an interview for BNR.
