"Since we are not allowed in Schengen, the governments of Bulgaria and Romania will abolish border control between their own countries," says the position of the Chamber of Motor Carriers in Bulgaria. From there, they state that they support the position of the Romania's UNTRR (National Union of Road Hauliers), inviting the governments of both countries to start work in this direction.

According to the carriers, not allowing us into Schengen is a blow to business, all the people traveling and the drivers of heavy goods vehicles forced to wait for hours and days at the border.

Therefore, the chamber calls on the Bulgarian authorities to take steps together with Romania to remove border control.
