Gallup International: EU is the preferred business partner for 42% of Bulgarians, Russia – for 20%

The European Union is the most preferred partner for Bulgarians – both in the economy (42%) and in the sphere of security (40%). These percentages are above the average for the world, and place Bulgaria among the leading pro-European countries in the Balkans. This is indicated by a social survey conducted by Gallup International in 64 countries of the world. Russia is in second position as a preferred partner for Bulgarians – with 20% in the economy and 24% in security. China earns 11% of the answers regarding the preferences of Bulgarians in the economy, the US – 9%. 12% of Bulgarians cite the US as a preferred partner in security, and 3% - China.
