Communication between the Sofia Central Railway Station and the neighboring stations Zaharna Fabrika, Sofia North and Poduyane is carried out by telegrams, Engineer Boycho Skrobanski, head of Railway Accident Investigation Unit with the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, said for bTV.

Rail traffic to the Sofia Central Railway Station has been restored. An accident occurred at Sofia Central Station in the morning of December 26, as the third car of a train arriving from Burgas derailed and hit an electric pole. According to Engineer Skrobanski, the accident occurred because of the repair works at the railway station, which disabled the safety mechanism of the railroad switch.
