"We Continue the Change" party has officially demanded answers from the Supreme Judicial Council and Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev about the letter of US Congressman Warren Davidson, which reads that “the actions of Bulgaria’s Prosecutor’s Office directly threaten the stability and security of NATO allies in Europe and aim to undermine Magnitsky Act”. "The blatant disregard of US sanctions by the Bulgarian Prosecutor General is unacceptable and must be addressed”, the congressman wrote.

On 23 December, US Congressman Warren Davidson sent a letter to the Secretary of the US Department of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, to take action against Bulgarian Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev.

Bulgaria's Supreme Administrative Court has ruled that the Global Magnitsky Act has no direct application on Bulgarian territory.
