"The exhibition at the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade entitled "Crimes against the Civilian Population in Serbia under Bulgarian occupation (1915-1918)" is a propaganda against Bulgaria and incites extreme nationalism", said Vanya Andreeva, Director of the "Southeastern Europe" Directorate in the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Vanya Andreeva met with the interim head of the Serbian Embassy in Sofia, Slavica Panic.

Sofia has expressed strong concern about ideas expressed through the exhibition, describing them as aggressive propaganda against Bulgaria and against good neighbourly relations in the region. "In our view, the organization of this event is part of the agenda of certain circles working against good neighbourly relations between Serbia and Bulgaria," Vanya Andreeva warned.
