"Bulgaria is an undesputed ally of Ukraine, regardless of the political opinions", Ukraine’s Ambassador to Sofia Vitaly Moskalenko said in an interview for bTV. In his words, "even those who are against sending weapons to the invaded country admit that Russia is the aggressor".

Vitaly Moskalenko, whose term of office expires soon, has devoted more than 40 years to Bulgaria. He has served as a diplomat and has dealt with Bulgarian literature, history, language and culture. Vitaly Moskalenko says he wants to return to Ukraine "as soon as possible". He wants to join the Kyiv‘Territorial Defence Force, but doesn‘t know whether he will be enlisted, because of his age and the lack of practical combat experience. If not, he will continue to work for his country through his diplomatic activity.
